Product Manager

Purpose of the role

The Product manager’s role is to design and implement the product roadmap and strategy. Identify opportunities for data enrichment and own sourcing new data, through research and initiation of new data acquisition sources and practices. Drive product, solution and continuous service improvement. Prioritise development of non-client facing improvements via APIs through collaboration with engineering and development teams.

Key Accountabilities 

Dr Foster is a small company seeking individuals to join us in an informally structured but maturing environment. Candidates should be accustomed to working independently in an environment in which they take initiative, seek to upskill themselves and work well without direct oversight.

Typical day-to-day accountabilities will be:

  • Defining Product Strategy and roadmap
  • Translating Product Strategy and roadmap into high level requirements and prototypes
  • Attending conferences, establishing relationships within the Healthcare industry
  • Influencing the market and shaping stakeholders’ perception of the Dr Foster Brand both internally and externally
  • Managing stakeholders
  • Managing teams of Business Analysts and Scrum Masters
  • Programme planning
  • Budget management

Experience, Skills and Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology, business, marketing or related field. Digital product management experience in B2B and/or B2C with specific experience in the data space. Have a demonstrable track record of establishing and managing partner relationships.

Essential Soft Skills 

  • Proven ability to direct multiple Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) software development projects and ensure delivery converges to product vision
  • Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders, business partners and vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, leadership and decision making
  • Creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Healthcare software delivery and/or solution design experience, especially in the commissioning and/or system (STP, ACS) spaces

Essential Technical Skills – mid to senior level required

Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine

Experience in Cloud based solutions
Jira, Confluence
Experience in shaping Real Time based solutions/products
